Hey I was about to start to make my own BD. I found some kits on line that include heaters for the oil and all that stuff. Dose anyone know about these? I could also use some good advice on how to get started. If anyone knows about work shops or if anyone might come out or just give a home class that would be great info to get.

Hi All, For tucson: Last year I went to the solar cooperative's annual jam up at Catalina State Park. One couple who attend every year bring their biodiesel RV and a trailer behind it with the whole bd conversion setup inside: barrels of oil, lye, heaters, etc. They are happy and willing to show anyone who asks how they make their biodiesel and which restaurants supply their oil. (They drive cross country and have created a route of places to stop to fill up on used vegetabale oil.} Farmgirl

I went to fuel up in Tuscon 2 days ago.  First went to the Go Go Mart listed on biodiesel.org and someone told me that was the best place to get bio in Tuscon.  The Go Go Mart ran out of fuel and they didn't even know it.  I then called Arizona Petroeum and they were nearby and had fuel.  Unfortunately AP's station pumps at between 1 & 2 gallons per minute.  We were there for well over an hour because someone was fueling a truck (over 30 gallons) in front of us.  The three people we talked with while we were waiting and fueling at AP said the slow pumping was normal.  Does anyone here know if it's common for the Go Go Mart to run out?

I'm the new Business Development and Operations Director for a mid sized excavation company.  We burn about 3000 to 4000 gallons per month in our machines.  I am willing to give our business  to a company that can provide biodiesel consistently to us, provided the costs are comparable to what we're paying now - preferably lower than the $4.90 or so per gallon (gotta convince the CFO).

email me at dnash001@gmail.com if you have a contact or ideas or an offer.

 Thanks

Dear fellow bio-diesel enthusiasts and diesel drivers,

My name is Patrick and I am an architect in the Phoenix area. I am starting a project to educate people about diesel vehicles and bio-diesel.

In my experience I have found that most drivers of diesel vehicles are not aware that they can use agri bio-diesel with no modification to their vehicles. When most people hear the word bio-diesel they think hippies that drive cars that smell like french fries. We know that this is not the case however, many do not. In addition to promoting awareness and literature on bio-diesel, I am also proposing a bio-diesel car show for both modified and unmodified vehicles. Given that gas prices is a big news story recently I am sure that local media would be interested in reporting on the show.

I would like to invite this community to participate in the bio-diesel project. I call the project "Passing Gas".

I have spoken to Western States Petroleum, and they wish to participate.

I have also spoken to the owners of Lux, a Phoenix coffee shop who is offering their parking lot for the show.

please post here or contact me if you are interested.
