Hi, I am looking for a pump to use to transfer WVO. I bought a 12vdc pump for $100 and it stopped working after pumping about 30 gallons. I am now looking for a self priming pump (with power cord) that will last.

Any info on this pump? http://www.fryer-to-fuel.com/store/product7.html

Thanks for any help!

You need a gear pump, as these types of pumps work well with viscous fluids. That same company sells them with their centrifuges, as do many other companies:

Redline adapts an electric motor to an automotive engine oil sump pump; I'm guessing they add some seals around the shaft to keep it from leaking. You could do something similar.

Grainger has a number of pumps as well.

Tony uses a rechargable drill to turn his Chevy engine oil pump.  Smile
