I have been researching for some time now and am ready to move into home biodiesel processing. Would really like to build a support netwok. I am in the Birmingham, Al. area and looking for mentors. Hope to hear back soon.

Details Tom.
are you using an appleseed processor? or going to build your own?
do you have a viable source of waste vegetable oil (WVO)?
are you going to use bio-oils? canola, jatropha, palm oil?
do you have a place to pick up some barrels? steel? plastic? lye? NoH?
do you have a diesel vehicle? and finally
have you read up on the FAQ's?
LOTS of great people here are willing to help out. as long as you do your homework and get up to speed, there is a nice little learning curve, most here are patient and willing to share what they know if you show the effort. so let us know what you're working with and how much you plan to produce. you'll be swimming in oil in no time.
plus if you post all of the info and more that i've barely listed. you may find someone in your area you can talk to. watch produce some BD and maybe find a supplier of WVO or whatever it is you wish to use.
best of luck with it. and most of all, have fun with it. and thumb your nose at the big 5. (not too much though, you may have to buy a tankful now and again).
