just wanted to see something else at the top of this page. maybe this section could be renamed to current events or froggy for president or something.

Yeah. I keep it around for archive purposes, but it's a dead section. Back in 2003, we were simply trying to prove that you COULD drive cross-country on biodiesel. Nowadays, that's pretty common knowledge.
Has it really been 5 years? Wow ...

maybe we could change it to cross country driving on solar, wind or other methods now? or statistical info on how far one can go in a model X charged for X hours utilizing X batteries with X motor?
that would update nicely i think
Maybe we need to have a five year reunion! How about at the TDI-Fest in August near Cinti? www.tdiclub.com Rich should know some of the details
Time sure flies when you're having fun!
Camille and I had a nice drive from the top of Haleakala down to Paia on Maui to kick off the Relay.
I wish we could have had a chance to actually hookup with the participants at that time, although I have met Kent Bullard since then.
Nice effort by all involved and a fine kick off to this site as well.

5 years and notihng much has happened? other than Bio fuels are more expensive. It is sad but real.
Dereck
You're kidding me, right? Biodiesel sales are up 50x+ since the relay! I went from having one station in all of New England to having over 100 stations.
Not to mention the increase of traffic on advocacy websites, such as this one.

Now how did I miss this post??? This actually sounds like a great idea, although the weekend is going to be very busy for me (TDIFest and my EAA chapter FlyIn/Airshow/Pancake Breakfast). I'll post this here to see if there is at least one other biodieselnow person planning to attend the TDIFest OH8 in Mason, OH (Cincinnati) who thinks this is a good idea -- BTW here's the registration site for the Labor Day weekend Fest.
An off the top of my head idea is that after the Road Rally and Barbecue on Saturday afternoon/evening, that those who are biodiesel oriented park their cars together at the air field (which is the 'secret' end point of the road rally) and string up a Biodieselnow banner (where is it?). This would not only give us time to meet face to face while we wait and watch the airshow, but also to promote biodiesel as an alternative fuel to those who will be walking the flightline. (antique and homebuilt planes, etc.)
