the most difficult part of the process is finding a restaurant that doesn't already have a contract to dispose of the WVO. I would like to start a COOP with some locals to collect WVO. Is anyone interested?

I'm new to ABQ and I was just thinking this very same thought. I saw a post from orbiteleven in the Welcome thread expressing an interest also. I know of a couple of other people here that are doing some things (WVO conversions, BD workshops) but this is the first mention of starting a WVO co-op. What do you know about collecting WVO from restaurants?

Email or PM me for local cooperation. I'm in an apt. now, and it's not condusive to Bio-D production.

Has anyone had any luck with starting a co-op such as this? I've spoken with a few restaurants around town to see what they thought about doing this... most don't even know what I'm talking about when I say biodiesel but their eyes light up when I mention free disposal of their WVO.

Have you had any response to your coop offer? what type of equipment do you have, if any? Which businesses have you gotten on board for your collections? Let me know.
